We offer a variety of health consultations to suit the requirements of our diverse client base. Our clients range from those who are generally healthy seeking up to date health advice, requiring tests and tools to maximise their health and vitality; to clients experiencing ill health wanting to optimise their health and vitality; and to others who are suffering from chronic, complex and long-lasting disease or illness and hoping to restore their health and wellbeing.
Following a detailed case review, typical advice and recommendations may include:
Nutritional advice and dietary adaptation
Lifestyle recommendations and modification
Nutraceutical supplementation, nutrient compounding, herbal and flower essence tinctures and teas, herbal creams, suppositories, pessaries and herbal inhalers.
During each consult we provide tailored health advice and recommendations to each client in real-time. Although, we appreciate health information can sometimes be overwhelming or easily forgotten after the consult. We therefore provide a treatment plan, which includes all of the necessary details, including any applicable prescriptions. Treatment plans are usually emailed within 48 hours following the consult.
To provide a deeper insight into the health of our clients, particularly those with complex and chronic conditions, or clients with health conditions requiring periodic monitoring, we have a number of diagnostic tools and referral tests at our disposal. Some of our clients also request specific pathology tests because they are curious about their health and want to know more. The wide range of tools and referral tests include:

Curiosity Call
A curiosity call (sometimes referred to as a ‘discovery call’) provide two significant benefits.
Firstly, they provide an opportunity for prospective and new clients to discover or explore the modality of naturopathy and gain a deeper insight into the skills and experience of the Naturopathic Practitioner. This allows prospective clients to better understand how a naturopath may be able to support them on their unique health journey.
Secondly, curiosity calls provide an occasion for a Naturopathic Practitioner to understand more about a prospective client’s primary health condition or health concerns and an opportunity for the practitioner to clarify any details about the client’s current health.
Client-practitioner rapport is essential. We appreciate that sharing personal and confidential health details can feel awkward. We recognise the importance of creating a safe-space for prospective clients during a curiosity call.
A friendly Naturopathic Practitioner at Optimal Vitality will encourage you to be an active participant during the curiosity call by building rapport and making you feel comfortable and at ease to share details about your health, without feeling pressured to schedule a consult immediately following a curiosity call. The decision to engage Optimal Vitality in a health consultation following such a call is entirely yours to make, in your own time.
Optimal Vitality provide complimentary curiosity calls to prospective and new clients.
Depending on the presenting case and specialist care needed, a Naturopathic Practitioner at Optimal Vitality may cross-refer a prospective client to a specialist in a specific field.
Initial Consultation
This is an in-depth consult, which focuses on a holistic health assessment, looking at your main health concern, your health history, family history, dietary analysis, iridology and relevant physical examinations. This assists in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan which you will receive, alongside any necessary prescriptions and referrals, following the consult.
Review Consultation
This session is a revision of a client’s previous consultation. Practitioners monitor health progression, revise treatment plans and update any new test results. Optimal Vitality provides two review consultations (shorter review consultations for ordinary cases and longer review consultations for complex cases or to allow additional time to review and discuss diagnostic results).
Acute Consultation
Acute consultations are suited to those requiring a repeat prescription for an ongoing health condition or a prescription for an acute condition including cold and flu, bronchitis, sinusitis, allergies, period pain and emotional support. This consultation is only available to clients who have attended a health consultation at Optimal Vitality, within the past 12 months.
Nutrition Consultation
Nutrition consultations include two sessions and a detailed report.
The first consult allows the practitioner to take a detailed client case, including diet, nutrition status, overall health and to go over client goals.
Between consults, the client is then expected to record all food, beverages and water consumed as part of their diet over a period of one or two weeks, using a specific application on their phone. All recorded dietary data feeds automatically into our nutrition software, which provides a report detailing the client’s current nutritional status, showing nutritional excesses and deficits.
A detailed nutrition analysis report is presented to the client and discussed during the second session. Diet and nutritional recommendations are provided at this time.
BIA & Weight-Management Consultation
BIA & Weight-Management consultations are sessions primarily focussed on weight-management. These consultations include an initial consultation to discuss overall health, diet and lifestyle factors, and involve body and weight measurements using a BIA machine to determine body composition. Body and weight measurements are tracked periodically during review consultations to support progress.
Iridology Consultation
Iridology consultations include two sessions and a detailed report.
The first consult allows the practitioner to take photos of the client’s iris for later analysis. This session also allows client’s to ask any specific questions regarding iridology, including the analysis process.
A detailed iridology analysis report is presented to the client and discussed during the second session.

Consultation packages are available and provide an affordable option to clients requiring several consultations for longer-term health support.
