King’s Birthday

The King’s Birthday is a public holiday celebrated in most states and territories of Australia on the second Monday in June.

This celebration of the birthday of the reigning monarch was known as the “Queen’s Birthday” during the more than seven decade reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Since 2022, this public holiday has been known as the King’s Birthday, once King Charles III ascended to the throne.
